Djúpavík, Reykjarfjörður, Westfjords, North-West Iceland. 🇮🇸 ⠀ The rusting remains of the SS Suðurland that is slowly dissolving by the shoreline in Djúpavík.
Djúpavík, Reykjarfjörður, Westfjords, North-West Iceland. 🇮🇸 ⠀ On the right is one of the abandoned fish oil tanks that is part of the old herring factory in Djúpavík. In 2006, Sigur Ros performed a concert inside the tank that was captured in their 2006 film, Heima.
Djúpavík, Reykjarfjörður, Westfjords, North-West Iceland. 🇮🇸 ⠀ The Justice League movie used Djúpavík as a location when filming in 2017. It's an amazing location and they really went all out filming there. They used helicopters to fly in all their equipment. They also took over the hotel in the village, but seeing as it only has 10 rooms, they moored a cruise ship offshore for the rest of the 200 actors and crew. In the end it only features in the movie for about 1 minute.
