To the Lighthouse

Iceland really does have a lot of lighthouses and I have visited a lot of them. My wife has a rather snazzy collection of T-shirts featuring 1st edition book covers. As we toured Iceland I became quite enamoured with her T-shirt of Virginia Woolf’s book, To the Lighthouse.

The more I thought about the book, lighthouses and what they symbolise – their purpose, location, history and events they have witnessed – the more the concept for this piece of music and the album as a whole came together.

To the Lighthouse – Instrumental Ambient Music Video, featuring the landscapes of Iceland.

Written, performed & produced by Stephen Caulfield. Taken from the album, To the Lighthouse. Available here:

Video directed and edited by Stephen Caulfield. All footage filmed on my phone in the beautiful country of Iceland.
